You sang the anthem, I was in the NBA; thought you were an angel sent down from above
I asked you to be the mother of my children, but looks like money meant more to you than love
Suddenly, I had to face reality, when an SUV swerved across the double line
Now, I see life from a very different angle, trapped in a chair on wheels most the time

So, I'm rolling, yeah, rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling

And though I'm still on a championship team
We don't get much of a media buzz
But anyone who plays wheelchair basketball
Knows it's tougher than the big game ever was
And now I'm rolling on one day at a time
Maybe you got yours, but baby, I got mine
You may be rocking up town Saturday nights
But I'm rolling down the road of life just fine

       . . . yeah, rolling, rolling

You left me for a rich guy who can walk and sure enough, he walked all over you
I met a lady stuck in a chair just like me, who sees the world from a very different view
Don't wanna be treated like nobody special, we need good friends and not your sympathy
We love and hate and bleed like everyone else and like anyone, we wanna be free, yeah, free

       Rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling

And though we're on a championship team
We don't get much of a media buzz
But anyone who plays wheelchair basketball
Knows it's tougher than the big game ever was
And now we're rolling on one day at a time
Maybe you got yours, but baby, I got mine
You may be rocking up town Saturday nights
But we're rolling down the road of life just fine

Yeah, rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling, rolling

Yeah, we're rolling on one day at a time
And you know, the last will be first at that finish line
You may be rocking up town Saturday nights
But we're rolling, yeah, rolling, yeah, we're rolling, rolling, rolling
Rolling down the road of life just fine *
