Tennessee politics as usual, puffin’ backroom cigars
Stung by the FBI with greedy hands in the cookie jars
Though the public rape was caught on tape but they continue to lie
Get to keep healthcare an' a pension while honest citizens die

Ford used to be a proud name stamped on American cars
Lately it’s linked to bribery an’ stuffin’ cash in drawers
Here in the Volunteer State corruption grows beyond the pale
An’ we’re lookin’ for volunteers to help waltz ‘em all off to jail

Governor Bredesen cut medicine, hung poor folks out to dry
Senator Frist just looked away, never once battin’ an eye
Though both of them got filthy rich off sick folk’s misery
As poor folks die they wallow an' lie in the lap of luxury

Frist used to be a proud name hung on a Nashville wall
Lately it's linked to hypocrisy an' a growin’ stock scandal
Here in the Volunteer State corruption grows beyond the pale
An’ we’re lookin’ for volunteers to help waltz ‘em all off to jail

Now, even if they get a handle on the Bill Frist stock scandal
An’ Ford lands in a prison ward, they’ll likely still be both worth a bundle

Ford used to stand for good wage payin' industries
An' doctors used to take care of us when we get disease
Frist kissed the HMO list while Ford sniffed the money trail
And we’re lookin’ for volunteers to help waltz ‘em all off to jail

Here in the land of the Tennessee Waltz corruption grows beyond the pale
Let’s frog-march ‘em on down the capitol steps, then waltz ‘em all off to jail *

* Inspired by Nashville, Tennessee's Capitol Gang of Heathen Shame; "I will give children to be their princes and babes shall rule over them."  -Isaiah 3:4
