WHAT IF WE FALL

  No strings, no static cling
No reason to go out and buy a ring
No worries 'bout white picket fences, at least we think so
But what if our hearts know something that we don't?

What if we fall in love?
What if we can't get enough
Of the warmth of each other's touch?
Would it finally be too much?
What if we can't see life through without a me and you?
Though we're not in love now at all, what if we fall?

There's really no reason to sound the alarm
And it's way too soon to cause any harm
But if time has a way of changing how we feel
What if this thing we have going is something real?

What if we fall in love?
What if we can't get enough
Of the warmth of each other's touch?
Would it finally be too much?
What if we can't see life through without a me and you?
Though we're not in love now at all, what if we fall?

Is taking this risk really worth millions of ways it could hurt?
Or, what if the gamble that we make is the best chance our hearts can take?

What if we fall in love?
What if we can't get enough
Of the warmth of each other's touch?
Would it finally be too much?
What if we can't see life through without a me and you?
Though we're not in love now at all, what if we fall?

Though we're not in love at all, what if we fall?
        What if we fall?
