WORTH LISTENING TO
[ country ]

I could always tell when Grandma was a little ticked off at me
Her frown was ten times worse than a branch from the hickory tree
And when it comes to men grandma had some rare insight
Gotíta sort through a lotíta Teflon to find a shininí armor knight

Sometimes we go too fast in life, we rarely go too slow
Weíre not born with the answers, we learn as we go
Many are the men who pretend to understand whatís true
When you find one who admits he donít, heís one worth listeniní to

Somehow as I grew older I got to know more than a few
Of the men grandma warned me not to pay any mind to
Only one man really understands, itís wrote down in the book
So before you fall for one too quick best take a careful look

Sometimes we go too fast in life, we rarely go too slow
Weíre not born with the answers, we learn as we go
Many are the men who pretend to understand whatís true
When you find one who admits he donít, heís one worth listeniní to

Itís hard to know the score for sure even if our headís on straight
And often best to test desireís water Ďfore we fall in and itís too late

Sometimes we go too fast in life, we rarely go too slow
Weíre not born with the answers, we learn as we go
Many are the men who pretend to understand whatís true
When you find one who admits he donít, heís one worth listeniní to

You ainít likely to find a man that knows any more than you
Aní when you find one who admits he donít, heís one worth listeniní to
Worth listeniní to, worth listeniní to
